Integration of nationwide soil data
PIKOBYTES supports the Federal Environment Agency in the integration of different soil data into the soil information system eBIS. The data to be integrated comes from individual research projects and external databases. To simplify the evaluation of the data, new, efficient evaluation views were created in eBIS, which facilitate GIS-based analyses in particular.

Project contents

As part of the project, various data sets from the client are systematically described and processed and then merged into a common schema using automated integration tools. In future, this integrated database can be used to run cross-dataset analyses and perform ad-hoc queries for specific questions. The project report is available online: Integration von im UBA vorhandenen Bodendaten in eine Fachanwendung zur bundesweiten Auswertung
